Create a Message

There are several ways to create a new message.

Create a New Message From Scratch

  1. Click the + button in the toolbar
  2. Click New Message

A new message is created using your default template. You can change your default template in the Direct Mail Settings window.

Duplicate an Existing Message

You can duplicate a message that already exists in your message list.

  1. Select the message you want to duplicate
  2. Click the + button in the toolbar
  3. Click Duplicate Selected Message

Note: Instead of the toolbar, you can also choose "Edit > Duplicate" from the menu bar at the top of your screen.

Duplicate a Message From a Recent Campaign

You can duplicate a message from a recent campaign.

  1. Click the + button in the toolbar
  2. Click Duplicate Recent Campaign. A list of recent campaigns will appear.
  3. Click the campaign message you’d like to duplicate

Duplicate a Message From an Old Campaign

You can also duplicate a message from an older campaign (i.e. a campaign that does not appear in the list of recent campaigns).

  1. Navigate to the Reports tab
  2. Select the campaign you’d like to duplicate
  3. Navigate to the Message section of the campaign report
  4. Click Duplicate

The campaign’s message will be duplicated and can be edited in the Messages tab.

Copy and Paste a Message

You can copy and paste messages within a project or between projects.

  1. Open Project #1
  2. Select the message you want to copy
  3. Choose Edit > Copy from the menu bar at the top of your screen
  4. Open Project #2
  5. Choose Edit > Paste from the menu bar at the top of your screen

Drag and Drop a Message

You can drag and drop messages within a project or between projects.

  1. Open Project #1 and Project #2
  2. Click and drag the message from Project #1
  3. Drop the message in the message list for Project #2

If you are dragging and dropping a message within the same project, it will be moved by default. To copy it, hold down the Option key on your keyboard while dragging.
